Hi everybody. 'The Pleistocene EP' is coming along nicely thanks to the capable ears and imagination of my friend and Pleistocene producer, Matt Bauer. Matt will probably kill me, but I've put up a rough mix of one of the tracks. It's far from finished, but should at least give you an idea of what to expect. Listen here.

This is one of my favorites. Love the way your voice moves on this song. Then you paired with the high vocie of the girl works real well. I'm a HUGE fan of horns. Love Love Love them. Im also a fan of songs that seem tragic...
See Beiruts La Llorna on you tube or vimeo. This new song reminds me a bit of this style.

Hard to say. The recording is now on hiatus until the first of next year because the producer, Matt Bauer is on tour with Jolie Holland and then overseas on tour until then. I'll definitely keep you posted on the happenings though.
Impatient
I Like the title track, it is very different from earlier work. I was downloading some music this mornin and after realizing most if it was crap, I'm waiting impatiently for the new album.

Judging from the info in the id3 tag of the song, my guess is that it's Noe Venable. She sang with him on Dogwood Winter.
The Other Singer
The Other Singer on the track is indeed my old friend and sometimes collaborator, Noe Venable. She's done such a great job with the songs that she's worked on for this record so far. Her voice really brought the songs to life. I can't wait to be able to share the rest of them with y'all.
